With the cape town summer kiteboarding season upon us, here is a list of the active and functional live wind reporting services in cape town:

This is my first choice because it’s situated just down from Dolphin Beach, my local spot.
It is mostly accurate, and the anemometer is situated on the cape town tourism building on blouberg beachfront.

This station is based out of the Milnerton Aquatics club which is on Rietvlei in Tableview.

SMS KT to 35010 for Kitebeach.
There are more stations available, check out their codes on the website Windreport.co.za

They also show a 2hour delayed feed

This is accessible on their WEB site, but it is the same service that provides the SMS based reports.

windfinder.com is fairly accurate, but the station is based at cape town airport, so not much use if you are kiting in tableview / blouberg or up the west coast.
